Understanding vouchers

The voucher system is essentially a way to make one or more tickets visible and available for purchase when using a valid voucher code. The vouchers control access to hidden tickets; the voucher codes unlock the vouchers to provide access to these tickets.

They can be used to create many different kinds of promotions. The combination of ticket and voucher settings is a very flexible and powerful tool; it enables you to create:
  • Priority bookings
  • Membership tickets
  • Discounted tickets during a limited period
  • Discounted tickets limited in the number of uses (limited overall, per event, per performance or even per order)

For the voucher system to work, you need to:
  1. Create a ticket with the 'Voucher Required' option ticked
  2. Create a voucher linked to that ticket
  3. Add voucher codes to that voucher
  4. Check that your account displays the 'Enter Voucher Code' button

How to use a voucher code:
  1. A voucher code can be entered on your box office account by using the 'Enter Voucher Code' button displayed on the top left of your box office Home (What's On) and Dates pages.
  2. Alternatively, you can provide your customers with a direct link to box office with a voucher code preloaded: for a box office account called 'demo' and a voucher code called 'code123', the syntax will be https://thelittleboxoffice.com/demo/?v=code123
