Understand our scanning app

Our free Android and iOS ticket scanning app (Ticket Scanner) has been created to work exclusively with thelittleboxoffice accounts. In order to use it, you just need a little box office account and be set up as an admin user of that account.

The app never needs to access the internet to scan tickets. Scanning is therefore reliable and fast. Internet access is only required for setting up the app; setup involves logging in the app and updating the events & orders list (one tap operation). From then on, the app will scan all tickets without the internet, even those purchased after updating the lists. You can set the app up days in advance and all tickets sold thereafter will still be scanned accurately.
Note that if you cancel orders, you will need to update the events & orders list again (only admin users can cancel orders).

The app can be installed on multiple devices and can be networked together to share scanning records. Devices must all be Android or iOS (Android and iOS devices cannot be networked together).  To network the devices together, they simply need to be connected to the same WiFi network (if it doesn't work right away, just restart your WiFi router). From then on, scans done on one device will appear on the other ones.
Note that the WiFi network itself does not have to be connected to the internet for this automatic networking to take place: this can be very useful if you need to connect multiple devices in a venue without internet access, such as outdoors.
