Scan tickets with our scanning app

Scan tickets with our scanning app

The simplest way to scan your tickets is to use our free iOS app called Ticket Scanner and found on the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store:

You can use any Android or iOS device as long as it has a camera at the back. The 'Box Office Name' is the name found at the end of your box office URL (e.g. if your box office URL is thelittleboxoffice.com/myaccount , then your box office name is 'myaccount'). For 'Email' and 'Password', enter the email address and password you use to login your box office account as an admin.

1. EVENTS
Once logged in you will be on the 'Scan Tickets' page, as indicated by the highlighted footer icon at the bottom of your screen.

On this page, you will see the lists of all your live events. If you cannot see your event, make sure that the events list on the app is up to date. It is also important to ensure that the cancelled orders list on the app is up to date (you can find how to keep these lists up to date further down this article).

If your event contains more than one performance, tap on the event name to show the performances and select the relevant performance

You can select more than one performance for the same or multiple events:

Once you have made your performance selection, click on the 'Scan' link in the top right to open the scanner viewfinder:

Point your camera towards the QR code on the ticket you want to scan. You can scan printed tickets or tickets displayed on a smartphone. In the latter, make sure that the QR code is big enough on the screen before scanning it (zooming might be required). The app will confirm with a message 'Valid Ticket'  and green tick symbol if the ticket is valid, together with the ticket number and timestamp. On the bottom right of the screen you can see a counter, showing the number of valid tickets scanned (here '4') and the total number of tickets that have been sold for this event (here '8').

If the ticket has already been scanned, you are informed as shown below. You also see a message that tells you when the ticket was last scanned.

If the ticket has already been scanned or has been cancelled, you are informed as shown below. You also see a message that tells you when the ticket was cancelled.

If the code you are scanning is not related to your chosen event, you are informed as shown below.

2. RECORDS
Once you have scanned your tickets you can see and export your scanning records on the 'Records' page (tap on the footer icon to open it):

On this page you will see the list of events and performances for which you have scanning records, each showing the number of valid scans:

Tap on your chosen event/performance to see the scanning records:

You can order the list by ticket number or timestamp from the 'Manage' menu. From there you can also export the records (in .csv format) and send them to your email address:

3. SETTINGS
You can access the 'Settings' page from the footer icon:

On this page you can see the following options with further details shown below:

Account
By tapping on 'Account' line, you can see the email address of the user currently logged in; you can also log out of the account from this page.
