Voucher codes enable the corresponding voucher to become active, which makes the tickets it controls visible. In other words, vouchers codes enable the customers to see and buy tickets otherwise hidden.
For the voucher system to work, you need to:
- Create a ticket with the 'Voucher Required' option ticked
- Create a voucher linked to that ticket
- Add voucher codes to that voucher
- Check that your account displays the 'Enter Voucher Code' button
To create new or change existing voucher codes, go to the 'Vouchers' page:
Identify from the list of available vouchers the one for which you want to manage voucher codes and click on [Manage Voucher Codes]:
1. To create one or more new voucher codes, click on [Add Codes]:
Enter the number of new codes you want the system to generate and click on [New Voucher Codes]:
If you generate a lot of voucher codes, you can manage them more easily by placing them into batches. When adding new codes, you can add them to an existing batch or create a new one. In doubt, do not use the batch functionality.
2. To change an existing voucher code, identify which code you want to change from the list and either click on it or on [Edit]:
Change the code by overwriting it and click [Save].
